Amit Jhingran, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Hyderabad Circle unfurled the tricolour flag at SBI Local Head Office, Koti, Hyderabad to mark the celebrations of the 73rd Republic Day. Staff members participated in the event strictly adhering to Covid protocols.

Jhingran said that we all cherish this memorable day as our Nation attained sovereignty by the selfless sacrifices made by our great leaders and freedom fighters. Today, we feel proud to be a part of this diverse independent India endowed with rich cultural values and traditions. We salute the armed forces who are maintaining strict vigil and protecting our country from invasions, challenges & threats.

Jhingran said that we are all going through a tough phase due to the fresh challenges posed by the third wave of Covid 19 pandemic and our country is putting in the best efforts in combating the spread of the virus. Our country has provided more than 150 crore of vaccines to the citizens. Our country has manufactured Covid vaccine and is playing an exemplary role in the global fight against the spread of covid-19 pandemic which has been recognised and appreciated widely throughout the world. Also the country has done exceptionally well in the economic front in recent times by surmounting the challenges posed by Covid pandemic during the first & second wave.


SBI has been in the forefront in the fight against Covid-19 by providing uninterrupted Banking service inspite of the challenges. Our Bank is partaking in Covid relief measures by distribution of ration/ food to the needy, providing oxygen plants, medical equipment, ventilators & PPE kits to the Government hospitals.

Jhingran conveyed Republic Day greetings to all its customers and thanked them for their “valuable support & trust”. He exhorted all the staff to provide the best service for achieving excellence in customer service. He praised and appreciated staff for the tireless efforts put in during these testing times.
