On Monday, on the call of the United Kisan Morcha, all the farmers’ organizations, including the Bharatiya Kisan Manch, gave full support to the Rail Roko campaign and demonstrated vigorously by sitting on the railway tracks.
Farmer leaders occupied the tracks at Sirsa railway station early in the morning and raised slogans against the central government over the Lakhimpur Kheri case. During the protest, State President of Bharatiya Kisan Manch Prahlad Singh Bharukheda said that due to the stubborn attitude of the Central Government, untoward incidents like Lakhimpur Kheri are taking place. In order to suppress the voice of the farmers, the people in power have now started resorting to hooliganism. He said that in Lakhimpur Kheri
The Union Minister of State for Home should be immediately sacked for the ruthless killing of farmers and he should also be sent to jail while taking legal action. Today, the farmers of the country have become aware, so the governments in the BJP-ruled states including the Center are making various efforts to suppress the movement. Prahlad said that the Haryana government is also adopting good tactics to intimidate the people associated with the farmers’ movement. He said that today rail roko movement has been successful in the entire district.
