National Forensic Science University (NFSU) vice-chancellor J M Vyas inaugurated the 5th International Conference on Counter Terrorism on Monday where he delivered a keynote address to more than 50 country delegates. The conference is being jointly organised by Global Counter
Terrorism Council (GCTC), an international think-tank, and the NFSU. Discussions at the six day event will be held on challenges of terrorism such as nature of terror in every sub-continent, terror funding, narcotics network, intelligence, lone wolf, performance of homeland security among others.
The keynote address, made in virtual mode, was attended by more than 200 speakers and delegates which comprised global statesmen, think ers, political leaders, bureaucrats, ambassadors, business leaders, media heads, civil society representatives along with former prime ministers, governors, generals, heads of CIA, Interpol, among others.
Vyas emphasized on forensic science saying, as terrorism has become a global reality, combat ing it requires extensive use of technology, espe cially forensic science.
