India opener Shikhar Dhawan and South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock have made huge gains in the ICC ODI rankings updated on Wednesday. Dhawan has jumped four places to take 15th position with 718 points, while de Kock has moved up to fifth position with 783 points.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam retained top spot with 873 points, followed by Virat Kohli (836) and Rohit Sharma (801) from India in second and third place respectively. In addition, Pro teams batter Rassie van der Dussen has jumped 10 places to reach a career-best ranking of 10 with 750 points. In the bowling department, New Zealand’s Trent Boult held the no.1 spot, Josh Hazelwood was placed second and Chris Woakes sat in third position. Meanwhile, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah continues to be on the seventh position.
In the T20 rankings, Babar again topped the list, while Mo hammad Rizwan was placed second. South Africa’s Aiden Markram, Dawid Malan of England are on third and fourth spot. India’s KL Rahul remains at the fifth position.
