Children learned the nuances of creative writing, block printing and natural colour making in three different sessions organised on Sunday, under ‘Children’s Literature, Art and Music Festival’ at Vishwarang Mahotsav.

Nivedhita Subramaniam, a well known children’s book writer-illustrator, held the first session of day on ‘creative writing’. She edified children on how to create a character for a story. For this, she indulged children in three different activities to make them understand a character and and build a back ground story for the same.

In the second session of the day Sharmila Gaure, a block printing professional, imparted training to the children on ‘block printing’.

The third session was addressed by ‘Story Reading and Natural Colour Making’ in the by renowned children’s writer Varsha Seshan. In the book reading session, she read out excerpt from her recent book “The Best Idea of All’ to the children.
